Arenales del Sol

Spain has many qualities especially in the Alicante region where we boast of beautiful mountain countryside, sandy beaches and quiet retreats or the hustle and bustle of busy towns.

Arenales del Sol is a small town on the coast of Alicante. Built in the 1960s, we are only 10 minutes from Alicante airport which has daily flights to the main European cities and 15 minutes from Alicante city.

You can still find many small historic villages untouched by tourism close to Arenales where you can see the true and traditional Spain at its best.

Places to visit and tourist attractions include Alicante castle, The Archaeological Museum of Alicante, Terra Mitica, Aqualandia, Pola Park and many more.

Many different types of fiestas are celebrated throughout the Alicante region.

A famous fiesta celebrated in Spain is the Moros y Cristianos (Moors and Christians) which represents the capture of the city by the Moors and the subsequent Christian re-conquest.

Close to Arenales, the town of ELCHE which holds two heritages of humanity, celebrates the Moros and Cristianos between the 8th and 10th of August and the town of SANTA POLA between the 1st and the 3rd of September, along with other towns of the Alicante province, throughout the year.

During these fiestas you will find medieval markets, parades of soldiers dressed in medieval costumes, battles between the armies and outdoor discos.

Alicante offers a variety of delicious Mediterranean dishes, the Spanish national dish PAELLA is a tasty rice dish of which there are many different varieties. You can choose to sit by the harbour eating fish or inland where you can sample the famous Valencian paella, there is something for all tastes.

Close by there are also established English communities where you can purchase your favourite English food as well as English television so you don't even have to say goodbye to your favourite tv programs.

With the sun constantly shining and the short winters the weather is ideal for enjoying retirement in a relaxing and healthy environment.

It is also ideal for buying your holiday home for your own personal use or to rent out for some extra income.

For young families starting out, Spain offers an excellent and safe atmosphere for bringing up children, with its beaches and beautiful mountain parks, weekends will always be fun.

There are a variety of both English and Spanish schools.

Spain can no longer offer a much cheaper life but it CAN offer a better quality of life.
